Habitat: open area with limestone rocks in degraded deciduous hardwood forest, limestone bedrock. Perennial evergreen herb, up to 60 cm tall. Roots dull orange. Base stem brown, rest of stem green. Peduncle green, bracts dark green outside (facing the cave entrance), light green inside, Corolla (facing sunlight) white with purple dots, upper lip white with 2 faint light green dots below lobe, pistil white, filaments (2) white, anthers light green to yellow-green, distinctly 2-lobed. Leaf baldes dark green above, whitish green below. Common. |
