Habitat: under story in mix evergreen+deciduous hardwood forest with bamboo, on rugged limestone rocks, limestone bedrock. Evergreen treelet/shrub, up to 130 cm tall. Stem grey to grey-brown, smooth, with sharp thorns, inner bark white. Pedicel light green, calyx white-green with white hairs especially at the margins. Petals white with fluffy white hairs, with bright green patch at base upper to petals, fading to dark maroon-red, style white, stigma shiny dark green, filaments white, anthers pale purplish blue. Leaf blades shiny dark green above, pale green below with purple venation. Common. |
