Habitat: partly open under story of degraded deciduous hardwood forest with bamboo, granite bedrock. Perennial deciduous herb, up to 45 cm tall. Roots pale brown. Stem pale red-green at base with short white hairs, rest stem light green with short white hairs. Pedicels light green with white to light brown-white hairs with light green bracts, calyx light orange-yellow with white hairs. Floral tube light orange, corolla lobes orange, labellum orange with 2 bright red dots, ovary pale orange, style light orange white to white, stamen light orange, lateral staminodes bright orange, anther appendage (star shapes) light orange. Leaf blades green above, pale green below, with soft white hairs. Common. |
