Deciduous, perennial, ground herb; tubers light brown outside, white inside; peduncle whitish-very pale light greenish; bracts green, ovary light green; perianth tube pale light green; lobes (3+3), stigmas (3) white or all light lilac outside, lilac to light blue inside; all with a yellow midridge (crest) in lower 1/2 inside on outer 3 lobes; flowers opening in alte morning, closed in late afternoon; leaves new; blades green on both sides, immature. |
