Sterile understory palm, caespitose with 10 suckers, individual suckers to 1 m tall. Leaves in crown 2-3; leaf base entirely broken up in fibrous mesh; leaf petiole 85-110 cm long, covered by ferruginous indumentum. Leaf rachis 60-65 cm long, with 2 x 9 leaflets in groups of 2-3 at the base, otherwise solitary and evenly spaced in one plane. |
