Evergreen tree, 12 m high. dbh 18 cm. Bark: pale grey, scattered wide & shallow vertical cracks; middle bark indistinct, no latex or sap; inner bark striped red/white, fibrous. Leaf: darkish green above, pale grey below with pale brown tomentum on main veins below and on petiole. Flower: sepals dull pale yellow with pale brown tomentum outside, cream inside; petals white and very delicate, quickly turning brown; anthers and stigma buff-coloured. |
