Tree, approx. 20 m high. dbh 32 cm. Crown: monopodial with conical crown, horizontal branching and dense foliage, appearing golden from a distance. Bark: dark brown, slightly roughened; inner bark pale yellow and fibrous with slightly aromatic odour. Leaf: young shoots densely covered with orange-brown hairs, persisting on petiole and main veins of mature leaves. Flower: (immature) pedicel, bracts and tepals densely covered with orange-brown hairs. Fruit: (immature) greenish-yellow. Note: flowers and immature fruits collected rom same tree on 20-May-2005 (ST1510a) |
