Terrestrial fern. Rhizome erect, 15 cm tall, 10 cm diameter. Stipe green to dark green but densely scaly; scales at base dark in centre, paler at edge, large, reducing in size upwards and becoming more membranous and concolorous pale brown. Fronds to 108 cm long, lamina 72 x 32 cm; 28 pairs of pinnae, lower 2-3 pairs reflexed, pinnae 2.5 cm wide. Lamina dark green above, not shiny, grey-green beneath. |
