Caespitose rattan with shoots reaching canopy; cane about 2 cm in diam, greenish yellow, internodes 20-22 cm long. Leaf sheath dense covered with spines of mixed length: largest spines up to 5 cm long, black at the base and the tip, others shorter and yellowish red; knee inconspicuous; leaf sheath deeply split; leaf petiole about 20 cm long; leaf rachis 200-220 cm long, with 2 x 48 leaflets, regularly distributed in one plane, flagellum 7-8 m long. Cane used for furniture. |
