 Evergreen ground herb; rhizome top at soil level, scales golden-rown; frond axes green, maturing glossy, very dark brown-blackish; stipes 220-232 cm long; costae 230-258 cm long; pinnae 26-28 + germinal segment; pincule segments dark green above, pale light green below; inside light cream, turning brown; spearmint light brown.
