Evergreen, solitary tree 7 m, dbh 40 cm; trunk with persistent, burned petiole bases; leaves terminal; inflorescences along the leaves, lax, paniculate, 1-1.25 m long; inflorescence axes dull light green; calyx tube dull light green, calyx lobes & corolla maroon; anthers pale light yellow, ovary cream, odorless; petioles green, 100-125 cm long, laminae palmate, lobes 80-90, lobed 1/3-1/2 way, straight, 82-122 cm long, dark green above, green below; fruits bright blue-green, becoming blackish pale light green. |
