Evergreen ground herb; rhizome erect, straight, 98 cm tall, basal diameter 16 cm; surface roughened with fallen stipe bases and old scales, blackish; young scales golden-brown; fronds in several, spreading wholes at the tip of the rhizome; axes dull light green; pinnae dark green above, greyish-pale light greenish below, only the lower ones fertile; sori brown. |
