Tree fern 6 m tall on bank of river. Stipe spiny, dark brown, rachis dark brown. Scales brown, of two type, long at base, short on upper stipe and rachis. Fronds to 290 cm long, lamina to 230 x 110 cm, broadesting at pinnae pair 8 from base which is around the middle of the lamina, c. 25 pairs of pinnae altogether, lower pinnae reflexed. Lamina mid green above, paler beneath. Sori orange-brown. |
