Tree, 24 m high. dbh 42 cm. Bark: cream, smooth; middle bark indistinct; inner bark in 2 distinct layers: outer dark red with silvery streaks, inner semi-translucent orange turning dark orange on exposure to air. Leaf: mature leaves bright green above, paler below; young leaves orange-brown. Flower: (collected rom floor) petals cream, filaments white, anthers orange-brown. NOTE: no open flowers observed on tree, although many on floor beneath. |
