Deciduous tree, 28 m high. dbh 100 cm. Crown: completely deciduous when flowering. Bole: spreading at base. Bark: cream, thick (>5mm), roughened; middle bark indistinct, no latex or sap; inner bark red, fibrous. Flower: calyx pale yellowish-green; corolla creamish-yellow with fine white tomentum outside, darker yellow inside; anthers brown; stigma green. NOTE: specimens collected from the large quantities of fallen flowers on floor. |
