Deciduous, culm-forming herb 25-50 cm tall in coarse-grained, shallow soil over sandstone at edge of path. Leaves 8/shoot, plain green, secondary veins slightly raised above. Inflorescence terminal, more or less pendent, very lax. Bracts white, rolled around peduncles of cincinni at first, becoming reflexed, especially the basal ones; cincinni at nearly 90 degree celsius to rachis. Bracteoles green, cadacous. Ovary and calyx green, rest of flower orange-yellow without spot on lip. |
