Aquatic herb, up to 100-150 cm tall. Blades coriaceous, narrow lanceolate-hastate glabrous on both surfaces. Inflorescence with a large bract. Flowers bisexual, pale blue. Stamens 6; 5 with yellow anthers; the sixth with blue ones. |
