Tree, up to 27 m tall, with stilt roots. Stipules red. Blades coriaceous, glabrous. Flowers bisexual; sepals 4, free, pale yellow; petals 4, free, white, membranous, caduceus, densely hairy along the margins. Fruits berry, brown, bearing persistent calyx. Seeds germinating in fruits attached to the tree. |
